Title: Papal Altar

Based upon the ancient hymn Sancti Venite this inscription
panel was modelled upon the uncial manuscripts. It was an
unusual layout, the first line being the longest called for
the ingenious device of using linear spacers to give the illusion
of a module to equal line length. The character of the letters
was a conscious format to accommodate the inevitable use of
telescopic photo lenses to record the historical event of
the Pope saying mass at the altar.
