The Limerick Mallet
This mallet, sourced in Limerick is made of oak. The working
face is the end grain of the tree which helps season the area
striking the mallet headed tool whilst its slender profile
prevents it from twisting in the hand and stringing its sides
away with false blows. The unique shape prevents the natural
tendancy of the wood to split thus adding to the working life
of this sixty-year-old tool.
